Scuttlebutt Farm is an educational homestead located in Smithfield, Virginia. Scuttlebutt Farm is a place where people come together to learn, grow, and share the joy of living.
We are a “hyper-local” “community-based” homestead. We are not a business at this time, so we share resources, products, and information with those in our community on a case by case basis.
We are focused on building an unified community through practicing permaculture principles and building relationships within our immediate and extended community.
What is our community? We are located in Isle of Wight County Virginia, close to the border with Suffolk. Our extended community could be considered Hampton Roads, but we are more convenient to Smithfield. Our closest post office is Chuckatuck Post Office, VA 23432.
So what can you expect, we will be posting Products which can be viewed from our products menu, and we will be posting information via The Scuttlebutt Blog. Initially blog post will focus more on plants and products, but will include more local community information.
