I have a friend who suggested that I did not need to buy anything, because he has plenty of equipment, but I wanted my first hive to be new. Since I plan to start two hives, I can used some used boxes for Hive #2. I considered the Vevor brand, in my opinion it was not as well built. I previously bought a Honey Lake deep and it was damage during delivery, I do not think it was their fault, but it was returned. The Bee Castle Hive seemed very high quality at a reasonable but expensive price. Since it costs a fair amount of money, I am going to refer to it as the Penthouse Hive.
