Tuesday the 6th of May James R and I opened the hives and we were able to see some larva. Yay! Must be a queen present.

So, I will update this picture with additional boxes. Given the size, health, and organization of the bees, James suggested adding an additional medium box to each so we did. We turned the entrance reduces such that there will be increased ventilation and less bearding.
I am out of the area today, but when I return I have some additional tasks based on his recommendations. He suggests I feed the bees so that they will produce more wax comb. This could mean that I can harvest some honey in my first year.
I stilll have a lot of learn and I will probably try out a more modern feeder as well as a traditional jar style feeder.
