1. Professional Services

Scuttlebutt Farm provides gardening consultations, hands-on training, and labor assistance. Advice provided is based on professional experience and permaculture principles. However, plant health and survival are subject to environmental factors (weather, soil conditions, and pests) beyond our control. We do not provide a guaranteed survival rate for plantings.

2. Travel Policy & Minimums

To provide sustainable service to the Hampton Roads community, the following minimum booking requirements apply based on your distance from Chuckatuck, VA 23432:

  • 0 – 25 Miles: No travel fee; no minimum duration.
  • 25 – 50 Miles: Minimum 4-hour session booking required.
  • Over 50 Miles: Minimum 8-hour session booking required.

Note: If a booking is made that does not meet the distance requirements, Scuttlebutt Farm reserves the right to adjust the invoice to the minimum session length or reschedule the appointment.

3. Invoicing & Payment

Payment is not required at the time of booking. Digital invoices will be issued via email upon completion of the service. Payment is due within 7 days of the invoice date. We currently accept payments via PayPal, check, or cash.

4. Cancellations & Weather

Client Cancellations: Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling.
